Black Heritage Trail History Walk

This Black History Month, join The SHARPP Center (ebmasnyc.com), UNH Library (ebmasnyc.com) , and Office of Community Equity & Diversity (ebmasnyc.com) for an afternoon spent learning more about the Black Heritage Trail (blackheritigetrailnh.org) in Portsmouth, NH. Together, we will move through the 24 historic sites on the trail. Plan to wear comfortable walking shoes and dress warmly (multiple layers) as this walk will take place exclusively outside. We will plan to stop along the way for hot chocolate/coffee to stay warm! Hand warmers will be provided for all attendees. This program is open to UNH students, faculty, and staff members.

The UNH MLK Day of Service brings together UNH community members to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy through service to our local communities. The theme for the 2025 UNH MLK Day of Service is to support people's basic needs, with proceeds going to UNH Basic Needs Support, Community Action Partnership (CAP) of Strafford County, Pope Memorial Humane Society, and local public schools.
